Company Compliance · Panaji, Goa
Correct filing of Form ADT-1 in Goa — registering your company's appointment, reappointment or casual-vacancy filling of the statutory auditor with the ROC within 15 days — so your audit compliance is clean and on record.
Overview
Every company must appoint a statutory auditor and register that appointment with the ROC in Form ADT-1. The first auditor is appointed by the Board within 30 days of incorporation; thereafter the auditor is appointed by the members at the AGM, usually for a term of five years, and ADT-1 is filed within 15 days of that meeting.
ADT-1 is also used when filling a casual vacancy (for example after a resignation) and on reappointment. Missing it leaves the appointment unregistered and attracts penalties. We handle the resolution and the filing — paired with the ADT-3 on any resignation and your wider annual compliance.

Frequently asked questions
Form ADT-1 is the filing by which a company registers the appointment of its statutory auditor with the Registrar of Companies. It records who the auditor is and the term of appointment, and is a mandatory compliance under the Companies Act 2013.
When an auditor is appointed by the members at the AGM, ADT-1 must be filed within 15 days of that meeting. For the first auditor appointed by the Board after incorporation, and for casual vacancies, the appointment is similarly registered within the prescribed time. We file within the deadline.
The first auditor of a company is appointed by the Board of Directors within 30 days of incorporation. If the Board fails to do so, the members appoint the first auditor. We handle the appointment and its registration so the company starts compliant.
At the AGM, a company generally appoints an auditor to hold office for a term of five years, subject to ratification requirements as applicable. Reappointment for a further term is again registered through ADT-1, which we file when due.
A casual vacancy arises when the auditor's office becomes vacant before the term ends — for instance due to resignation or death. The vacancy must be filled within the prescribed time, and the appointment registered via ADT-1, which we handle promptly.
Failure to file ADT-1 leaves the auditor's appointment unregistered with the ROC and attracts penalties on the company and its officers. Timely filing keeps the audit appointment valid on record, which is what we ensure.
